Image Resizer
« on: October 29, 2008, 02:22:27 PM »
I added a page that will allow you to resize your images before posting or attaching.

Most of the time you will not want your pictures to be over 500 px wide when linking to them on a forum from a gallery or photobucket, etc., and really not over 650 px wide if adding as an attachment here.

If you post pictures to the gallery here a link to the page will show up also to allow you to resize before uploading.

http://www.americananglersfishing.com/resize/index.php is the link to the page if you want to resize an image to use elsewhere.

What kind of error are you getting?  It should work on any picture.    Of course on super large ones it will take a while for it to load.

Are you getting an out of memory error?  If so its the server that is out of memory and not something on your end, other than your pictures are way too large :)

Jack, I think the gist of the message was that some (I don't know if this is the proper lingo) picture programs do not allow for pictures to be resized for whatever reason it was they gave.

I dont know of a program that will not allow a picture to be resized.    I dont think thats even possible.   If you have a picture you ever want resized send it to me and I will resize it for you.

As far as my online resizer I think there is a memory limit that it can do.  (Because I am on a shared server)

Okay, I reckon I will have to send it to you. I can't do it today because I am at work and the pictures are on my home computer. Thanks. ;)
