2 for 2

El Skunko again!

Went fishing Saturday.  Temp starting out was about 55 deg.  at 8:30.  When we left is was about 40.  While the sun was shining it was a really nice morning.  The Girlfriend and I had a great trip though.  We ran the boat around looking at the lake.  Fished awhile, and just enjoyed the day.

I did teach her how to throw a baitcaster in less then 10 min.  So I have to brag about her.  I'm very proud of her.

Sorry about the skunk but glad you all had a good outing.  Just don't ever let her shoot a pistol.  She'll make you look bad like Red did to me in front of some friends. ;)

I called mine "Annie" for years, bwaaa.

Sounds like a good start to me GMAN. I have yet to get out on the water for any length of time ('cept 2 real short trips since Nov. for a grand total of 1 12"  fish)

Soon!

Well G were going to hit dang near 70* today, but then again it’s a WEEKDAY!
Saturday’s forecast is sitting at 62* right now so if that holds maybe we can see some “boat time”. Problem with that is launch time it will be around 30*. Glad I ain’t got no go fast boat! ;D

Nice job getting out there G,..glad to hear you've got a gal that likes the same things as you!!

PH,..ain't no sense in launching early this time of year.  The best fishing (at least around here,..) is in the afternoons, especially if the sun is out!

Ditto that.  I find the same thing around here  10-2 is usually the right time.

Fishing .....what the heck is that, lol?   I haven't even renewed my license yet, and the boat is still covered.    These mornings/evenings have been chilly.

J4F & G I know your right but around here if you wait you won’t be able to find a parking spot; this is especially true in the spring!
Greg you might notice a new lean to my boat; G has another order in hand and my storage locker is getting full.
Lt (Ret) I don’t mean to sound cruel but some of us still have to WORK for a living so weekends are the only times we can get out. We can’t lay around till 10am then get up and head out. Must be nice! Someday I’m gona………………………… ;D

Actually, weekends have been the only time I have been able to go myself lately. I have been helping my girlfriend with her business since November.  ::) :)

Scott, looking fwd to seeing the "lean"  :) .   I'm out of town this Saturday at a school event, and then first weekend of April (during our Spring Break) I'm near Cinn. for another event all weekend (Fri-Sun).  The end of April me & the wife will be in Florida for my oldest son's wedding.  I hope to fish around mid-April   :pray

MID APRIL??? If I have to wait that long my wife is gona kill me! Honey Do’s! ::)
I need to get down your way so we can try out my new jigs at the dam. You have a date set with ‘ole lunker mouth up here. One of these fine (75*) days we need to hit Daisy Mae. My lake scout (grandson) says the lake is filling nicely and the State report is for better than average size.
That’s three trips this year. Ya think 3 trips is too much for a couple of “old guys”? ;D

3 trips shouldn't do us in too bad, lol.   Looking fwd to it!

A toasty 54* and windy here today!   Supposed to be around 64* tomorrow, but I'll be in Hoosier Nat'l Forest (note to self: check to see if passport is up to date before I cross the bridge at Hawesville over to Cannolton, lol).  :)

Send me your address again and I'll send you a couple
of GMAN Mop jigs with a Rage Tail Lobster trailer! That's
what has been working on my ponds. On Pickwick and the
Tennessee River, Pointers (white) and lipless crankbaits.

Good luck!

Still a bit chilly up this way, below freezing at night and only in the 40's - 50's during the day if we are lucky.  Some lakes still have ice on them.
BIG OR SMALL, THEY ARE ALL FUN, TAKE A KID FISHEN !!
