4/29/06--5 Swamp Pond Bass
« on: April 29, 2006, 02:51:13 PM »
Finally!  I've skunked out at the SP the last few months.  Just couldn't find them?  The owner of the pond had caught some Bass last Wed. so I thought I'd give it another try.

Scattered clouds, low 70s, easterly wind, and sunny. Caught the first two on a 5" Senko-color #222.  The next one hit a GY Single-tail, 8" Grub.  I kept trying a Chatterbait and missed at least 5 hits?  Finally hooked one on an all chartruese one.  The last one hit a Little Action Mac worm right against some cattails in 2' of water.

 2lbs, 10ozs--19"

 Same

 2lbs, 8ozs--17"-Senko

 2lbs, 10ozs--19"

 Same Grub Bass

 Chatterbait Bass

 2lbs, 11ozs-19.5"

 LAM worm

Great pics again, Dan. I wish there were some ponds around here to fish, but in the desert, water isn't quite as easy to come by. If they would only let me fish this lake I live on,,,,,

Thank's guys but someone pointed out the lengths don't match up with the weights ???  I may have mis-read the tape?

Do you mean that the fish were longer or shorter than you thought?

WW:  They were too 'light' for their length ???

b913:  Yea, I bought several of them a few years ago and every once in a while, I tie one onto that light rod and just hang on ;).  I love that anise scent!

I love that anise scent

One of my brother-in-laws cuts-up raw chicken breasts and soaks them in anise.   Catfish love it!

Some more nice ones ya got there LR. Maybe they are not weighing up to length because she had laid out and has not eaten to get back her weight?
