Went to Holt res. this weekend with Bama_Bassin' for an afternoon trip. We got there around 2 something and stayed til i got sho-nuff in trouble!!
...fished up in the back of one slough and more or less sanded some rust off(not all of it though), that was about it in there. Moved to another slough and Bama_Bassin' commenced to put a whoop'n on me. He caught a bunch of spotted dinks on a crankbait or two and even caught some on the purty lil worm he was throwing. What really took the cake,
, was that blame frog he was throwin....ugliest varmint you ever did see
BUT!, it caught the biggest fish for the day
. He finally let me catch a few on my blasted buzzbait right before it got dark. I was just glad i caught something. Overall we caught right at 20 bass.
Mostly sunny, 80*, light wind out of the SSW.
Water was up what appeared to be up a foot to a foot and a half.... and dropping.
Water clarity was not like chocolate milk but was fairly heavily stained W/ some light debris still in the water
Water temp: 66 to 72*, depending on where you were at.
