Best day yet!

There ain't many times where I can get more than 5 fish per outing.I caught 11 total and lost another 6-7 due to my operator error. A section of the river was completely flooded and provided much,much new coverage for the bass. Flipping and pitching a 3" Fat Albert curly tail grub was the ticket as fish were holding tight to the new coverage of trees,rocks,even picnic tables and grills.It was all under water...LOL


4:30 pm the bite shut off like a light switch.I fished from 11:30am-5:30pm. I was catching them within 15 minutes apart as I walked and picked that entire area clean.Biggest went around 2 1/2 and surprisingly the only bass that didn't come off the grub,it came off a vicious black and red spinnerbait.   


Yes I took a Vacation day today,so I'll have tomorrow. I love it when I plan ahead and make things happen. I'm quite proud of myself today...LOL

Very nice grimlin. It's great when you take a vacation day and have it turn out the way it turned out for you. You SHOULD be happy about your outing.
 
Blades and grubs along flooded shoreline is a great combination for sure.

Indeed,I don't take very many vacation days from work. I miss usually 2 days out of the entire year if that.


Went with a buddy today. We smoked the rock bass and white perch today(we lost count after 40). Both of us lost a big pike and he lost a big walleye.We were after walleyes today.


I'll be staying home tomorrow recovering up. Everybody needs time off sometimes.No saying when this will happen again. Looks like we will be back on 58 hour work week again.


Definitely a great,great weekend!
