Do you know the name of the lake south of lake judson? I fished it years ago (as well as Judson) and best I remember it was a pretty good little fishing hole....both lakes really. We had to have permission for both of them. Use Bing maps, birds eye view - once you zoom in some (if you don't know where i'm talking about or the name of the lake already)

 ;D

It could happen!

Forest lake doesn't ring a bell, but then again it has been a long, long time ago. Seems like it started with an "M", ...like Marlow's, Marshall's. Madison's, Mitchell's, dunno?? The road to what was known as "Tidmore's lake" (Just up stream from Jordan, 300 yrds.) was on toward Buttermilk, right before you makw the bend in the road near that church close to the intersection you would take a right and go down a small dirt road. An old friend of mine knew them and I was allowed to fish that one anytime. Caught alot of (small) fish out of it. Judson was hit and miss alot but at dark, with the condition favorable, the old top water plugs were lethal on Judson. Some sizable came from Judson, back in the day.

That sounds like it, cut...although, it also describes Jordan to if you went to the dam area. Can ya still fish Jordan I wonder!? Anything left in it is more like it!?

I did. I went riding around down that way after work yesterday. Couldn't get to the actual lake because it was posted property. We were leaving and i stopped out in front of a house where a guy was exiting his truck. Got his attention and asked him if the lake was "open" anymore, and he said it wasn't but gave my daughter and i permission to fish it since he was the owner, lol. And if anybody questioned it to tell them "so and so" said you could! I thanked him and went on my merry way grinning!

No. Judson isnt quite that far down 37(Hargrove Rd.), Jig Man. Judson is not too far past Woodland Forest on 37(hargrove rd.)

To clear up some of my own confusion all through this thread  ;D, there were two lakes close together. The one i called Tidmore's Lake(didn't know the real name of it then and to be honest i still don't) ,and, what was known as Lake Judson. What i figure now is that both together are called Judson Park(as shown on the map). The old Lake Judson is indeed at the end of Lake Judson Road a short drive on 37 off of skyland blvd.

Matthews, if i have that in my head correctly also, is way on down 37 off curry rd. where that other road intersects(slayton rd.??) I have fished there also once or twice back when i was a teenager... whatever the name of it was/is??

The nerve of some people!   ::2 :smit ... I was suspect of something fishy because he was too quick to give permission w/o me directly asking, and I find out through a friend at work that lives down toward Lake Judson, that there is all kinds of land disputes going on regarding the property that person gave me and my daughter "verbal" permission to fish.  ;D He was no more one of the land owners than i was!,  ::2

Had he given me written permission at least, i may have had a chance to beat a ticket in court, maybe!? Verbal permission ?? ...not so much!
