Decent fish finally
« on: September 24, 2009, 11:22:24 AM »
Well I went out to Lake T this morning for about 2 hours.  Couldnt stay long because my nephew was with me and he couldn't stay.

I finally got a decent fish.  Just wish it would of came in my tournament in a couple of Saturdays...

4 lb 2 oz. Spot.  Pulled like a freight train....

Here is another small one  1 lb 10 oz. LM

For some reason the deer were swimming today.   Here is a small one...

And on the ride back to the ramp saw this big one....

Couple of really nice animals there Jack.  We get a lot of spots 3 and under but rarely over that even though the state record is something about 7.  I personally have never boated a 4# spot.  That would be a milestone for me.

I've seen a spike swimming across Lake Mitchell once but nothing that big. I've never seen a deer that big before!!

That deer had been fighting looks like.   You cant tell it in that picture but he had lots of cuts and one big gash out of the back of his neck.

You fishing the Gene Griffin tournament?

Those fish were accidents.  Only two I caught all morning.

Nice fish Jack! How come you didn’t show me fish like that when I was down there?  ;D

I asked a guy I work with to forward a pic of him with his 8lb. 8oz. largemouth caught last weekend. He’s not a member here but I thought it would be nice to show you guys. I WAS the record holder at work with 8lb. even, but he smoked me. Going out today looking for a 9lb. HA!
BTW Buzz, he caught it on a solid black buzz bait!

Everyone has been making a fuss about the big deer picture.

Most people dont realize the 4 lb spot is the real oddity!

I'd sure like to catch a big old bass like that in my local waters :pray , but it seems I have to go out of state, or out of town to even get a 5 lb'er (well, 5lb 5oz, lol)    :)

If that bass wasnt so skinny it would have went over five.  It was really long...

Here is a picture to show the length better...
