Did you ever wish you had stayed at home?
« on: April 06, 2010, 03:55:15 PM »
I talked Bigfoot into getting up really early this morning (he doesn't do early).  I took him to Bull Shoals because of what Beck and I had done last week.

We got there and motored way up the creek where we caught 4 2 year old males.  We went back to where Beck and I caught 21.  We caught 1.  We moved around and caught 6 more on a flat.

I got hot and jerked the tmotor up and motored waaaay up the White river to the 76 bridge.  We hit a lot of staging spots and came up with nada.  We ran back to Beaver Creek and tried our big hot 6 fish place...nada.  We left and went to the next creek south...nada.

We went back into the original creek.  The sun was high in the sky and the water was clear.  We caught 3 walleye.  We put the fire out and called the dogs.

When I got him home I backed into his driveway and stuck my skeg into his garage door.  Now I have a liability insurance claim.

I wish I had stayed home.

Wow ! One of those days huh. Did you get the Bigfoot? Hope it wasn't too bad. Sometimes If I don't get a straight shot I'll get hung to the point where I have to get the floor jack just to get out of the garage. LOL! This little postage stamp I call home is tight quarters sometimes .

Bass don't eat what they don't see.

Well you got to out, you caught a few fish, and nobody got hurt. I know that doesn’t make it feel any better, but you have seen worse times.

Plenty of those days, went for a quick trip after dinner to get out of house years back.
Had a goose fly into my truck windshield and shatter it on the way to the lake,
I still went fishing, was yapping on my cell phone when I was rigging up the boat to leave andshung up and placed the phone on my truck bumper to secure the T-motor.
I  looked for it when I got home and remembered I put it on the bumper, drove all the way back to the lake looking for a  black cell phone at night and I actually found it, but only after I heard it crunch under my tire !!!  Pretty expensive out of pocket trip!
