Finally finally finally
« on: December 10, 2009, 09:00:23 PM »
After 3 months to the day from the Tbone I got my boat back.  I'm taking it to the lake tomorrow no matter what the temps. ;D

It is 21° outside right now.  I'm giving Bigfoot until 8 to make up his mind about whether or not he is a sissy today, then I'm heading out.  The wind is supposed to be under 15 mph with the high of 40°.  The last time we went it was 34° when we started and 34° when we quit.

I just have to be back in my own boat again, even if it is crappie fishing.

BTW:  The shop did a fantastic job.  The boat looks better than it did when I brought it home from the dealership 7 years ago.

We let the temps warm a bit before we left home.  We got on the water at 10:30 and fished until 3:30.  We had to fight the wind all day so fishing was a bit tougher than usual.  We did wind up catching 2 black bass, 2 white bass, 3 walleye and 45 or so black and white specs up to 14".

Everything about the boat worked fine and the new glass job is spectacular.

Thanks guys.  I practically had to learn to operate if all over again.  I actually had to stop and think about which buttons to push on the depth finders and I completely forgot to load the waypoint file before I got to the lake.

Steve, she planes at 25 mph.  I was using the night time 30 mph rule yesterday.  There was only one other boat on the lake and that dummy was throwing a rooster tail like it was July.
