First Trip Of 2010 Yesterday
« on: May 29, 2010, 08:58:13 AM »
Thursday night I was all excited and couldn't sleep.  Got up around 4 AM Friday and started putting my gear together.  When I got over to my Dad's house I discovered that I had forgotten my water bottle.  We jumped in the truck and headed out to the lake anyway.
While we are getting the boat ready, my Dad discovered that he did not put the cooler in the truck.  Now we were fishing artificial lures, so the only thing that was in the cooler was food and water for lunch and snacks.
We were out on the water for about 2 hours when my Dad finally got a little one on a lipless crank.  Around 10:00 AM they finally started biting, but you had to get the bait just inside the weedline and dead stick it.
We left around noon to go find some food and water.  I ended up with three little ones and my Dad ended up with two little ones.

Sounds like a good father and son outing that was skunk free to boot. 8) And congrats on cracking the puzzle in finding what they wanted. That is always a good feeling.

We had kinda that same pattern last sat. ourselves, BB. Still, good to get out, especially with your dad.
