Fishing report Table Rock Lake 4/27/06
« on: April 28, 2006, 11:37:01 PM »
Well it is Friday night and I got home from my fishing trip to Table Rock Lake with my old fishing buddies.

Tuesday traveled and rested and got ready for Wednesdays fishing.

Wednesday fishing report I will try and keep it simple it was colder then a well digger a**
Went out about 7:00 and just froze our buds off, water temp. 66 degress high for the day 52 low was 41 and cloudy and windy boy was it windy.
Caught no fish and only stayed out about 4 hours to long.

Thursday fishing report even colder and rain and only caught two small fish.
Stayed out about 21/2 hours, when you get wet it is even colder.

Friday the guys went out again for about 3 hours no luck and I had enough so I stayed back at resort in my warm bed. When they returned they said they wished they had stayed in warm bed.

Had a great time being with guys I grew up with and have fished with for many  years.

Every fishing trip you are too learn something and here is what I learned.
I thought getting in and out of boat was going to be my problem but instead I found out that just going down to the dock and and boat I fell 3 times , nothing broke but sore and cuts and black and blue all over, I have been looking at a new boat that I thought was the answer now I have second thoughts, What to do thinking about giving up fishing. Even the terrain is a problem for me .

Still it was great to be in the great outdoors with friends.

Anyone going to Table Rock Lake to fish I am sorry but I can be no help, I guess we hit a cold front .
Not many people on the lake.

Time to go to bed and rest.
Everyone have a great weekend fishing.

George,

Thanks for the report! Sorry the weather didn't cooperate. Tomorrow is opening day for us here and overcast skies have been forcasted. Rain or shine I will be out there with hundreds of other anglers, yet I will probably be the only one targetting bass.  ;D (Everyone else will be fishing for planted trout)

Good report, Crank, even if the weather was lousy, and not a lot of fish caught.  On another note however, as you stated, is the time spent with friends.  And, nothing like a road trip to break-up the monotony of everyday life   :)

Crankbait, sorry the fishing was not what you hoped for but at least you and your friends had a good time. 8)

I was thinking about you guys when I checked weather.com the other day. Sorry mother nature didn't cooperate with you on your trip. Table Rock is my favorite lake, and where I will live when I retire. It's where I learned to drop-shot and down-size my tackle to catch big spotted bass. Even got 3rd place and big fish in a tourney there a few years ago, much to the dismay of the locals. ;)
