Good outing
« on: June 11, 2010, 11:52:13 PM »
I set the alarm early today and headed over to my local lake after choosing which one to go to. I have 10 different bodies of water within 40 miles of my home.  I selected 4 different types of topwater baits. By 6:15 the fish were showing a strong preference for a Rebel Pop R. It was a fish about every 12/15 minutes until the clouds broke and then...................
I went to a Berkley 10" red shad power worm and scraped out a couple more. The water temp was 82. I never caught anything deeper than 4 ft. but the water was fairly stained. I ended the morning with 2-14s, 1-15, 1-16, 1-161/2, 1-171/2, & 1-181/2. I wish all my outings were this consistent.

Sounds like a fine "short trip" to me, Gotfishes. Wish we would've done the same thing yesterday ourselves.
