Steve it would all depend on what day.  We begin deer season on the 14th and I will be trying to fill a few of my tags for Fire Gun's freezer.  He is finding it hard to get a chance to harvest his own this year.  He is in the Spfd Police Academy which takes up 50-60 hours of his time, then ridealongs on the weekends.

The lake is 5' high right now.  It looks like chocolate milk from Bolivar landing down to the dam.  Do you want to fish in that color of water?  Also, we are expecting 2-4" of rain Sun and Mon.  If that happens, Pommy will be rolling mud.

We have only been fishing above the McCracken Bridge (PP Hwy).  It takes some cojones to run a boat that far up through the stumps and shoals.

I haven't been there lately but have some reports that Stockton has been pretty good lately.

Well I compromised. I didn't get the champ out but I did wander over to the pond and voila!

I managed to locate an even dozen before nap time.

We'll have to play wait and see.  They are predicting 2-4" of rain starting Sunday and not clearing up before Thursday.  By then the lakes may be pretty bad.  I have a lot of trouble catching fish in cold muddy water.

BTW: I really appreciate the offer and will try to take you up on it but I'd hate to see upi drive 200 miles each way to have bad water conditions.

Steve I just got off the phone with the COE and Pom and Stock.  Both areas have had over 3" of rain.

Lower Stockton has been fairly clear.  The upper end will likely be rolling mud with the rain.  Stockton is 870.96 and rising.

Pom was clearing in the rivers and muddy down lake.  However, this rain will make it like mud pies in the rivers again.  Pom is slow to settle and I expect it will be sometime in Dec. before it clears up.  It is 842.65 and expected to go up several more feet.  One of the rangers at Pom told me that there is almost no boat traffic on the lake except for a few muskie guides.

I think the only option would be on a nonwindy day to try what I was going to do last time we met and the wind forced a change of plans.
