Hello everyone its been a while

Its good to be back on here again.  The site looks great.  My son has been ill off and on now for 3 years but we are seeing some promise and I'm proud to say he took his first fishing trip with dad to lake St. Claire in Michigan and he caught 45 smallmouth bass and 7 over 5 pounds.  He's 6 1/2 and very small for his age so its amazing to watch him overcome doubt and fear of reeling in the larger fish.  He did great with very little help.  He laughed and sang to himself for hours and I just watched and enjoyed the moment.  If I never fish again, this has been the best year of fishing in my life and being able to take Colin (my son) out on the water has made my life complete.  If you have the ability to take a youngster fishing, whether a neighbor or family, do it you'll have the best time of your life.  I will be posting some pictures of our fishing trip soon.
