I use a 6'-10" All-Star Team All-Star IM-10
TAS 827C  Pitchin Stick  6'10"  Extra Fast  Heavy

I really like that rod.     If I didnt already have that I would be looking for an equal Shimano rod.

I was thinking about spending 150$ or so? I was looking at the Bass Mojo, or the St Croix Avid.

I've got 4 carrot sticks and no problems yet. I bought the first one as soon as the came out and still have it and use it every time I fish. I love all of mine. They are as light as you can get and they've held up well for me. I actually swim a jig with one of them.

I think all of the rods listed are good quality rods but it is all about personal preference. It took me awhile to find a good jig rod. The one I use now is a 7'9" extra heavy carrot stix and I wouldn't trade it for anything.  In spite of being so heavy it's still very sensitive and if a jig gets wedged in something a good hard pop usually gets it out. With other rods I'd have to just break it off.   I've had 5 or 6 carrot sticks and have yet to break one.  In that price range I'd also look at the St. Croix ( already mentioned) or a kistler magnesium.

I depends on the cover I'm going to be fishing in.  If its grass, I'll use a heavy with a fast tip.  If its wood then I'll use a med. heavy with a fast tip.

I am not a rod expert, but I fished my new BPS Carbonlite, 6'6" MH with a Citica 200E and 14lb BPS Floro all day yesterday with Senkos and it is one incredible, light, strong rod.  Totally effortless all day.  I wish I had gotten a 7' instead.  They are on sale now for $10 off.
