Well, I went back to lake harris this morning(fully charged battery!). As usual, I was a bit late getting there. There were two boats on the water already somewhere out of sight on the lake when I pushed the 2-man off. Since I didin't see either of them I went ahead and fished the island again since it's right there. I worked all the way around it with only one fish and two bumps. Within about an hour, I still onely had that one fish so I swapped over to crappie fishing. I rigged my UL with a 1/16oz. darterhead jig and a grub on 4lb. line. I fished a good way down the shoreline hitting indentions in the grass and grass points. After an hour and a half, I finally caught one. Then another. I managed 7 crappie and three throwback bass right there in that one small area and caught two more throwbacks further down the grassline. After that it was hit and miss the rest of the day. I picked up 3 more bass on the way back to the ramp at random spots. Had no real weight and the crappies are in the freezer.
Oh yeah, the sun was intense as could be today, it got to a scorching 81 degrees. The b.p.- moved from 29.99 upwards to 30.10 over the duration I was there. the wind was out of (roughly) the south at 6 mph early and increased up to 13 mph mid afternoon. I caught all of those fish, except the first one, on 3 of those 1.5" grubs(broke off the first one) and 2, 1/16oz jigheads.
