Woo ! Hoo ! It's a balmy 21 outside this morn. I'm headed over to KC to tag along with my buddy for 3 days on Table Rock wearin out the paint on my megabass! I'm pumped. I'll be lucky to get my truck out of the drive and up the hill. Later!

Bring something warm.
Today: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 27. Wind chill values as low as 13. West wind between 8 and 11 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 18. Wind chill values as low as 10. West wind around 8 mph.

Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 31. Wind chill values as low as 9. West wind between 7 and 11 mph.

Monday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 17. North wind around 7 mph.

Tuesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 35. East wind between 5 and 7 mph.

I am planning to go for specs on Tuesday taking Big Foot.  Thursday Bear is off and wants to go.  (We'll have to see about that one.)  With all the remodle, tornado, and yehaw damage to the boat this year I am 25 trips short.

I hope you catch a bunch.  Catch some for me.  I had planned to go this morning and look for some specs and eyes but I got a call last night and my backhoe/track loader guy said he would be at my farm this morning to build me a new road around the erosion caused by that 8" rain last month.

I can't see turning him loose without someone telling him where and what so I have to put off wetting a line.  With snow and colder temps coming I'm not sure when I'll be able to get out.

Well we started at Mill Creek at 8:30 this morning. It was 23 degrees with a small breeze. We fished until 5:25 pm and then called it in. It was about 35 degrees by then. we had a 20 minute boat ride at 45 mph to make it back in the black.  16 bass total. One spoon fish, 15 jerkbait fish in 46 degree water. 7 were keepers. The best 5 would go about 14.5lbs. 10 spots, 4 blacks, 2 smallies.










Give it another try tomorrow.

Fished again on the 30th with approximately slightly less results. We fished a different part of the lake. I think the fish were on the bottom and weren't very interested in coming up for the bait. My partner took advantage and put on a school. He had 7 keepers and 3 shorts while I only had 1 of each. 4 of his fish came on a brown jig or a chartreuse slab knocker. That big Lowrance unit on the front of his deck shows ALL the fish.  The sky was leaking all day and not a whole lot of fun. Headed back to toto land today. Hope I can get back down here again soon.  Jigman if ya read this I'll probably give ya a call in a couple of hours once I hit the road. Are you on Stockton today?
