Well I finally gotta go purchase some line. The wife is gonna fish with me so that means every rod in the boat will need to be in top form. I'm OK in the braid dept. but I'm gonna need to spool up probably 4 or 5 with fluoro. I've had OK experience with XPS 14 lb. with the exception I thought it was not very good on a rating for a strong shock. NO stretch and it would snap. I've used several different weights of Berkely 100% and have no complaints. I would like to venture out a bit more and try a different line. What will your suggestions be? I'm probably gonna get some 8 and some 12-15.  It's so darned expensive but I don't want to use mono. I like fluoro. I've never had issues with the line fluffing up on a spinning or a bait caster. I do not want something stiff. I like limp and supple. Who else makes a quality fluoro that I can try this season?

I just had to re-spool  both of my braid rods. Line was getting a bit short after hanging up so many times. I will jig where no jig has ever gone before! :o
Interesting what you said about the XPS fluorocarbon; I fished XPS 10 and 12 all last year without a problem. 90% of that use was swimming jigs around weed beds and I caught numbers, up to 4 1/2lbs. In one 20 fish day I lost two jigs, but that was to some of the toothy critters they put in our waters!
This year I am trying Stren Fluorocast. I spooled up two rods yesterday and it is some very supple line. Cost; I thinking it was $9 for 200 yards. I figure if it don’t work out I can always order some XPS and re-spool.
This is the first year that my only mono rod will be a spinning rig. I have lost way to many fish due to mono stretch. ::)

Seaguar Red Label. They are the leaders in fluoro. Or if you just want some strong line, try P-Line.

Vicious brand flouro is pretty popular around here right now. I may have to try it next myself!
