No fishin' around here for a while

I had hoped to go for a while today but it is still 28° with 24 mph west winds.  The weather guys say freezing rain tomorrow with sleet, freezing rain, sleet and snow with accumulations 4-7".

Looks like time to catch up on my reading since my new molds haven't arrived and won't for several more days.

We are dropping back into the low 20's for a high.


We passed by my little secret river system by my wife's work...and it's all open waters......If it ain't frozen by the end of the week..I might get out and make a few practice casts.That way i won't be so rusty in the beginning of the season with a baitcaster.

The weather here is crazy too.We have had plenty of wind now for 2 days. Right now it is sunny but cold, below 30 and windy. Last night it snowed a bit.  Yesterday I spent a couple more hrs. sorting tackle and discovered 45 slab spoons I had pack ratted away.    Those are gonna get some use this year cause I'm gonna try to get away from the shoreline.  Maybe I'll slip over to KC this evening. I'm bout to go nucking futs!
