Testing the moon phases
« on: April 12, 2010, 03:03:53 PM »
I have always liked the week of the full moon with 3 days before and 3 days after hitting it hard.

This year I decided to try all the phases around the spawn.  So I am going to the lake on the first quarter and staying till the new moon.  I should be able to get a feel for quarters anyway and maybe catch a goodun' or two. ;)

Over the years I have read numerous articles about how moon phases and barometric pressures affect fishing. Seems that most don’t put much credence in the pressure related subject (other than clear verses cloudy skies) but really believe that moon phases are a big deal. That is until last month when I read about some guy that has kept records for the last 20 years and he says that even moon phases don’t matter!
While I hate the fact that you have to be our tester Jig Man, I will be expecting a full report with pictures. OH, and did I mention that I am jealous? ;D
