I'm not sure if it is me, the fish or both but today started out at 46° and ended up at 74°. The water has cooled down to 78° at Pomme de Terre.
I took my new neighbor for some spinnerbait and buzzbait fishing. I sure was hoping they would work and they did. We caught 46 bass from 8-2 today. 12 of them were nice keepers. A few came in on bandits and one good keeper on a tube. There were jig pickups but with the white capping wind I never got any of them stuck.
I don't normally get buzzbait bites in the middle of the day so today was an exception. We caught all of our fish in the Lindley arm. We spent about 1 1/2 hours in the Pom and only had a water haul.

Wow ! Sounds like you guys had a great day. Why just today I was thinking maybe you were right in the middle of giving up bass fishing to chase those specs. Looks like I was wrong.
. It has cooled off here also. I am heading to a power plant lake tomorrow to prefish for my last club tourney this Sunday. If I catch 1/4 of what you did I'll be flabbergasted.
Nice report.

What a day for sure! Must of felt great to get on a buzzbait bite. I think I got 2 this year on a buzzbait, but then again, the topwater bite has been the worst this year than I can remember. My trusty spook Jr failed me this year.
Congrats Jig Man.

Good to hear you had a good outing, JM. We went a few times here in the past few weeks. One of those trips i actually caught one or two on the buzz. I was shocked after such a dry spell on it.
