Watch out for the carp!!!

I had one of those jumpin carp jump in my boat yesterday.  I was just cruisin along on the trollin motor, next thing I know I got a 33" carp floppin around in the back of my boat.  It bent up a couple of guides on a rod before I could get all my stuff out of the way.  It slimed up my boat pretty bad and left me a little green care package :o

was it one of those asian carp.  Those dudes are dangerous when your idling around and they start jumping in the boat.

Yeah that's what it was.  I thought only the outboard scared them, but I was only using the trolling motor not the outboard.  I had one jump right in front of me (scared the hell out of me!! ;D) about 2 weeks ago and I was just using the tm.

 That thing sounded like a rocket launching out of the water!

we were duck hunting when we had that happen to us.  It was so tempting.  Pow Pow bang we should have went. But or restraint held up.

A couple of guys I know have been thinking about that, but they haven't figured out how to get away with it yet

Never had one jump in the boat but they have come mighty close to it. I bet it scared the crap out of ya when it hit the deck. Glad it did not break any of your rods or anything else for that matter.
