weatherman ever right?
« on: November 21, 2010, 08:10:13 AM »
Sheesh !  Planned to go get me some specs this morning so the alarm goes off at 4:30. Forecast is for SSE winds 8-10 building to 18 by afternoon.  Stayed up until 1 AM watching a special on PBS about Major League Baseball.

Alarm goes off, short night and I roll out. When I get outdoors I hear the wind in the trees and I think @#$%^&*!

Oh well 13 miles to the ramp, I'm already up, might as well..........

I sat on the ramp sulking for 30 min. , never even launched, came back and put her in the stall.

Don't like that early morning launch in high winds when I am by myself.
Don't like that weatherman either!

I hear both, the launch and the weatherman.  I had planned a Pommy spec trip on Mon but we have had wind for 2 days and it is supposed to be 20-30 on Mon.  plus a 40% chance of storms.  I don't think I can feel that itty bitty bait well enough in that kind of wind to work it through the brush pile limbs.

I asked an old Cherokee Indian chief if they had a name for meterologist. He said, "Yes, he who speak with forked-tongue or liar".  ;D

We had a real nice weekend here and today was about the same except the humidity popped up around mid-day for awhile. Must be a storm brewing and bringing in some gulf moisture into the area ....same, same.
