Boat trailer jack
(1/1)
baseballfatty:
I'm looking to buy a new trailer jack but I don't know what lb jack to buy. I've got a 19 1/2 foot Pro Craft with a dual axle trailer. What lb jack would work work for a replacment?
Jig Man:
1000 minimum. I'd really like to try one of Fulton's double wheel jacks to see if I could move my tandem axle around in the garage. I tried to move it several years ago and doubled up the jack that came with it. Fulton apologized and sent me a replacement.
Buzzbait:
I would have to agree with JM, 1000 minimum. An 800lb. jack is fine if it just sits there supporting the trailer(like mine), but if it's going to moved at all on it's wheel, I suggest you start at around 1,500 lb. The one JM is referring to is the F-2 model I think which comes with a wide wheel or a double wheel version, as well as a couple mounting options.
Have you ever checked you tongue weight BBF?
baseballfatty:
Buzz I have looked but I either can't see it or it's not there on the tounge. I move my trailer around my driveway a pretty good bit so I'll prob go with the 1500lb. The one I have on there now is the old style that is not a stowaway jack and it's just a little combersome. The old jack works great but it juts gets in the way and the new jack will look a little better.
