Ready to go
« on: April 22, 2006, 07:17:49 PM »
Well, spent about half the day cleaning and prepping the boat in anitcipation of getting out, whenever that happens   ::) .  Took the cover off and it appears that I may have to use some seam sealer on the seams of the boat cover.  Found a few (not big) wet spots on the carpet, and they were all located under cover seams.  The cover, which I bought at WalMart for $50, is about 1 yr 8 mos old.  Seam sealer is cheaper than a new cover.

Also got the batts charged, trailer bearings greased, chrome rims waxed, and sprayed the tires with some protectant.  Also added some nice decals that I got from mfr's through emailing them.  Sent an email to MotorGuide, Mercury, & Lowrance, and told them I used their gear & that I was gonna use them on the boat.  Didn't hear from any of them for awhile so I figured they weren't going to respond.  Pretty soon I started getting them in the mail   :) . I've had them since before Christmas. I put the decals under the rod locker lid.  Wife thinks I'm nuts...which is highly possible   :o .  Was still tinkering around when I spotted some vicious-looking clouds moving in, the wind picked up, and I hastily put the cover on.  Rain hasn't hit yet, but it sure cooled-off a bit.  So much for my day in the sun  :)
