Went to the swamp pond today instead of work; sunny, air temp-high 70s, partly cloudy, no wind with fairly clear water, and water turkeys and vultures soaring overhead, scaring all the Bass.
Caught a 2lb Bass on the LC Pointer I used Sunday at my boss's pond.
Had
this small swimbait on and was waking it back when I saw a follower as it got next to the boat. I stopped the bait and watched the Bass circle the bait and then it reached up and sucked the bait under. I was so amazed at seeing that happen that I didn't wait for the Bass to take it under and just ended up snatching the bait away.
Later, I caught a nice Crappie on the same pointer. Got no other bites.
