4/17/07--What do they weigh?
« on: April 17, 2007, 02:55:17 PM »
Hit my boss's small pond this afternoon and when I caught the first Bass, I discovered I'd left my tackle box with my scale and tape in our other car.

All they wanted today was my KVD Spinnerbait made by Strike King and the were hitting it all over the pond.  Had wind ruffling the water's surface with blue-bird skies and temps in the low 80s.  Caught 15 or 16(mostly dinks) in total but just took pics of four of them.

The first two pics are of the same Bass.  Hope y'all enjoy seeing them:

Thanks y'all.  I'm guessing they ranged from a 'high' 2 lbs to 4 lbs for the first one.

Here's that bait--in color # 03.

Must have been something in the weather. The spinnerbait  bite was definitely on yesterday but all I could catch were dinks; pound to pound and a half dinks.

Nice fish Dan!

Scott,

With my number of catches (which isn't that great over a period of time), I'll take those 1lb- 1/1/2lb'ers anyday   :)

What size/color spinner bait were you using?

3/8 oz. chartreuse/white with #3 willow leaf blade. I saw a couple of fish darting right near the surface so I tied on the small spinner and fished it right below the surface. I was kind of surprised at this action because the water temp was only 57*.
