8/26/06--All Tube X Bass today with a new weight system
« on: August 26, 2006, 02:26:12 PM »
Went to the swamp pond near Elko, GA today from 11 AM to 2 PM;  sunny/hot(low 90s), no wind, low water level--stained but clear, few clouds, and water temp at 89 degrees.

Lately, the Zoom Speed Worm or a cr/bait has been my go-to catcher but Vertical's Tube X took the honors today.  I pitched it mostly and caught 7 or 8 with pics of four.  I also was trying for the first time, a new weight that hooks to the hook, keeping the weight next to the bait's 'nose' as though it were pegged.

Thanks y'all.

Thanks again y'all :)

Yes, Vertical has some "out of the box" bait ideas for sure ;).

Boss's pond today with the same weather as yesterday.  Caught 9 or 10, the heaviest being just a 2/10--20 incher.

Tube X plus CB's dyed Hawg Sauce

 Tube X--1/15--18"

The 1/15 had one of my Sugoi hooks still its throat from when?

not bad man.  I went this afternoon about 4pm-dark to a small lake ( the smallest lake around me that they will let me put my boat on) and flipped and pitched a jig around docks. Caught a 2lb LM on a jig. Then caught two more fish about he same size right before dark on a Pop-r.  It was real slow and hot, but surprisingly the wate temp was only 84-86 deg. BUT it was so muddy it looked like you could walk on it. Sorry no pics. I'm the worst about forgetting to bring the Ol camera.

Just caught 3 today;  two 12 inchers and one 15 incher--Matt's Baby Bass dipped in CB's HS.
