8/9/07-HOT Bass
« on: August 09, 2007, 05:40:18 PM »
Whew!  Was it hot!  102 degrees F air temp with a 114 Heat Index.  Water temp was 94 degrees :o.  Caught a few small ones and two, 2 lbers.

Squadminnow-2/10-18"

Swimming Senko-2/9-19"

Note the 'new' background.  That's on the lake behind my friend Steve's home in 'nawth' Macon.

I was whupped when I got the boat and gear back in the truck.  Thought I might pass out but I hung tough.

Nice catches, Dan!   Dang, how long did you spend out in this heat fishing!?   I'm a lite-weight, as I'll wait until the heat index/temps drop some before I venture out to fish again.....or do yard work for that matter    :)

WW:  Started at 11 AM(water temp was 89 F) and quit at 2:30 PM.  Almost passed out dragging the boat and gear up a slope to the truck but I drank about 2 qts of water and was OK.

I appreciate you hanging tough in tough conditions. Great pics. What color of swimmin senko? 222?  :)

#222

That pic isn't color-correct as the base color in #222 is a very dark green.  It'd also know as the "Christmas Tree" color.  I have caught literally hundreds of Bass using that color since I began throwing Senkos back in 1999.

I hear ya pondhopper.

Be careful out there Dan. This kind of weather is really hard on us ?senior? folks.
That being said I do intend to be out tomorrow. We had a ?slight? cool front move through yesterday and tomorrows high is only going to be 95*.
