9/30/06--New Spinnerbait and Swimming Senko Bass
« on: September 30, 2006, 02:49:22 PM »
Sunny, muddy water, and almost no clouds or wind with temps in the low 80s at the swamp pond today.

Caught 7 or 8 with pics of three of them.  Had my line break on a Swimming Senko Bass;  probaby 4 lbs or heavier.  It was 10 lb P-Line CX that came on a used but tuned-up Daiwa Sol that I got from DR in Texas.  I had the drag too tight too.  She sucked the SS in and took the line behind some staubs and that was "all she wrote."

The SS catches Bass but so does the original Senko.  Not sure it's worth the extra $$$?

The new spinnerbait was made and given to me by another Texan, Rebbasser.  The rig I used for that s/b Bass included a tuned-up Daiwa Pixy done by DR.  Both Sol and the Pixy are now a joy to use.

Great pic's LR.
I might have to invest in some of those swimming Senko's. They look good.

Scott:  As of now, I am underwhelmed by them ???.  I don't think I'll buy any more of them unless I catch some Bass when I don't think the original(and a little cheaper) Senko would have worked just as well.

OK Dan. Maybe I will hold off until you tell me different.
My fishing season has pretty well been decimated by this ?homeownership? thing anyway.
Thanks.
