AAFF Paper Tourney 2007 Weigh-In
« on: April 08, 2007, 01:45:35 PM »
This is the place to weigh in your catch each month. Remember it is only your top five bass. Good luck ;)

Unless I can squeeze an after work short trip in ....I won't have anything to weigh-in for the month of May.

Well I'll be! I caught five from the bank this evening when we went to visit the out...'er, in-laws ;), caught 2 on winnie worms(2 small) and three on a 1/2 black buzzbait. The largest was 3lbs.

I've had the skunk rash on me for a couple of months now and really, really needed that.

Buzz, believe me brother you ain?t the only one with skunk rash! The day backlasher caught this 3.4 I was hauling water. I cannot seem to get it in the grove this year.
By the way; I did manage to catch a couple of fish on that outing. My buddy backlasher was kind to me when he said ?WELL FINALLY?!  :beat

I counted up all the fish I have caught this month and the total from six trips out was 40.  I got one LM that was 5-4, but I don't think the combined weight from the other 39 would even move the scale.

I just took a look at the 2007 KY Sport Fishing Guide and found out that I should have been measuring and taking pics of the ones I've been catching.  The state rules would apply to where I've been catching the LM and Spots.  I kept thinking minimum possession length was 15"  ::)

MINIMUM SIZE (inches)

Black Bass Species
Largemouth Bass: 12"  (possession & minimum size)
Smallmouth Bass:  12"  (possession & minimum size)
Kentucky (spotted) Bass: 12" (possession).  Minimum size: None

hehe! I did something like that one year...My golden rule was bent out and I never caught it. No tell'n how many 13.5" fish I threw back that year!(Parts of our river here the Min. is 14")

My big fish for this past Sat. was 3lbs. and a total of 4 fish was 7LB 3oz.

Is this how we're suppose to do this weigh-in thing?

I had planned to get out these last couple of days but Montezuma?s Revenge has kicked in!
I got home Tuesday night and hooked up to the boat but it hasn?t moved since. Kind of afraid to get too far away from the pot. Some kind of stomach virus running around and of course I had to get run down by it!  :puke

I got this one on Saturday.  It weighed in at 4-11 but it looks awful skinny to me.  This was only the second time I had fished this pond so I don't know what type of baitfish are in it.  I caught him on a Zoom watermelon candy superhog.

Looks to me that you might want to fish that pond more often!
