Lake Blue Ridge, North Georgia

My Buddy and I went up to Lake Blue Ridge located in the foothills of North Georgia. This lake is very small but produces Smallmouths that would make even Dale Hollow proud. We hit the lake at safe-light and managed only 2 fish from drop-shot until 1:30pm. Then we hit a flat that was only around 12 feet and dropped off to 30+ and the magic of top-water happened. They were in short spurts so we had to have the top-water close at hand when we were throwing something else. We managed to catch 3 on top-water and a dozen on drop shot. Total weight went 17.2lbs with these two weighing 5.28lbs and 4.42lbs. The last 2 hours sure made the day!
