Hello all,

First, thanks to everyone that took the time to attend last nights meeting. Among other tasks, we set the schedule for 2011. It is as follows:

February 12 - Holt – Rock Quarry – Bob Findlay -Complete
March 12 – Gainesville - Vienna - complete
March 26 – “Pickensville” – Raleigh Ryan - complete
April 16 - “Millers Ferry” – Shell Creek - complete
May 14 – Warrior - Old Lock 8 - In progress
June 4 - Bankhead - Franklins Ferry - complete
June 25 - Logan-Martin – Riverside - Complete
August 20 – Demopolis – Runaway II - In progress
September 10 – Tuscaloosa – Binion Creek - In progress
October 8 Classic – TBA – Bob Findlay

It seems I always forget something - this year it was to recruit hosts for the various tournaments. All current members are eligible to host a tournament. Please sign up.

At the request of our ABF representative, we (the Board) have moved the March tournament off of
March 5th to March 12th. This will allow club members who wish to complete in the ABF tournament at Demopolis on March 3-5th to do so without interfering with their quest for AOY. We apologizes for any inconveniences that this change might cause (it does put our tournament at the start of spring break).

I've modified the original post to indicate progress toward getting permits. I've requested all the above dates (note that I had to switch to May 14th for Old Lock 8 due to another club requesting the 7th). All of the 4 Corps officers have responded to requests, and as I receive the completed permits, I will post the results. Lake Tuscaloosa will likely be completed mid summer.

We need three more returning members/teams to step up and host. We need a host for Bankhead, Logan Martin and Lake Tuscaloosa.
