Thanks men.
It's good to win one again.
If the clouds had stayed Saturday if could have been anybodys win.
Once the sun poped out they shutdown for us.

Good fishing,
Ellis

P.S.  Forgot about the boat raffle tickets Saturday.
If anyone wants to buy some....See Jackie or me..

I was really disappointed Saturday.   We didn't catch but about 6 or 7 fish all day and it was a struggle getting them.

We apparently was using the right baits seeing as how everyone else was catching them, but was not in the right spots it appears.

Jackie we had a really good day. We caught 18 keepers (16 largemouth and 2 spots) and lost 4 other really good solid fish. Things started to slow down about 11:30 but we still caught a few fish after that. We started on the main river and stayed there. Grassy points was the key for us Saturday.

We fished a grassy pocket first off. Caught several all day but no size. Since that was the first time I'd had my boat out since the repair I limited the range of travel. No fish on the buzzbait but caught the ones that swirled on it with a back-up bait. After the sun was up awhile they quit, then I practiced, so to speak, for smith....not a bite, deep!

Again, Congrats Ellis and Daniel !

and, Shannon and Billy good going too!

and of course Bob and Ian for bring up the rear, wtg!

Ellis, I meant to ask about them(tickets) but it slipped my mind.

Jackie,

The same for Ian and I - except we started in the back half of cove - weeds, wood and deep water near by - had a limit by 7:30 and then started culling.  But true to our form we moved to offshore and/or deep structure - caught our last cull (a 1-6 spot) on some offshore structure around noon.  Our best offshore spot had an L&L guy camped out on it so we never got to fish it.  We did flipped lilly pads for about 1 1/2 hours with no bites.  Caught our last keeper at 1:45 (again deep structure) but it didn't help us.
