Dirt Dobbers
« on: July 10, 2008, 09:52:32 AM »
Daniel, who I fished with at Bankhead, told me this true story.

A friend of his lives on the lake and has his boat stored in his boat house on the water.
After a not using his boat for awhile, he decided to take it out for a run.
Boat cranked and ran great.
So he headed down the lake and all of a sudden the motor started making a noise and shutdown.
After trolling back to the boat house and removing the cowling...Guess what?
A dirt dobber nest had been sucked into the intake and trashed his motor.

It's that time of year....Check your motors...

Good fishing,
Ellis
