i read that the other day and it said something like e-10 will only be available in premium but since we can get ethanol free gas at a couple of places around town im wondering if it will have any effect on that

I dont think that would be good on our motors.  Is that how they plan to enforce the four stroke is by blowing up all our 2 stroke motors. :o

It's not good. It'll definately help the gas additive company's. You'll just about have to run an additive or risk motor failure.

What additive are you talking about?  Lucas oil?

Marine Stabil is the main one but there are other company's selling it. It is supposed to "neutralize" the ethanol so that it doesn't harm the engine.

I was thinking this day was coming. We will more than likely have to be more vigilant and attentive to our two strokes.  I have been running 10% from time to time for 5 yrs and have never had one problem. The owners manual allows for it. Merc 04 XR6 150. 15% however presents a whole different can-o-worms.
