Electronics help
« on: June 10, 2008, 03:19:40 AM »
Anybody try one of the Hummingbird SI units yet?  My electronics on my console official crapped itself recently and I need to get a new one before I go pro.  Actually, wanting to learn how to do something other than beat the banks all day.  I'm tired of watching Archie throw that buzzbait and I'm thinking that if i start fishing deep structure, he may put it down.  doubtful, but maybe.  I saw him throwing it once on a chartered grouper trip.  He got a few bites, but didn't hook up.

I have a Hummingbird Matrix on the front and was thinking that i would stick w/HB so that the two could communicate (waypoints, etc).  If anyone has some feedback, good or bad, let me know.  The imagining sure looks cool, but not sure how user friendly it is.

I hate to even think of you and Archie out there with us  ;D , but you can check mine out before we blast off.  I'm too old to be any good at the electronics thing, but I bet my 13-year old could make that thing sing and dance.

If I could afford one I would have one today since my other went out.

Too bad the Humminbird discounts for us got dropped.
