Hide-away Harbor now has bulk oil
« on: July 09, 2010, 05:34:04 AM »
Randy Wallace with Hide-a-way Harbor in Cottondale, The BassCat and Pheonix boat dealer salesman, called me yesterday to let me know that they now have bulk oil. So if you need any oil you can just swing by there and get you some. He also asked if you are looking to buy a new boat to please consider BassCat or their line of boats.

Cool,  I'm surprised more shops don't sell bulk oil.  Its alot cheaper.  Right now I'm paying 20 dollars for 1 gal of xd 50 compared to 35 for non bulk. ;D

Hubbert's Grocery on highway 171 has 100% gasoline, no methonol, but it's 89 octane not the 87.  I was told by a guy that worked at Yamaha to do 2 things. 1. always use 89 octane never use 87. 2.  Always even if u had an oil injector to pour some extra oil in the gas tank, or if u just put the oil in the gas to use double oil.  He said "Now I know it's gonna smoke more and u will have to change your plugs more often from fouling, but that motor will last you a lifetime"
He said these motor builders tell u that u can use 87 octane and u can, but they want that motor to last you about 10 years, then you will have to buy another one.  I've done exactly what he said and my motor on my boat is 15 years old and runs like the day I bought it. :boat
