There isn't a lake in Alabama that isn't that way unless you fish the river and who know's if the river is going to have water in it.

I don't mind fishing Lake T in July because if I don't catch anything by 11 it will only take me 10 minutes to get home. ;D

Catch fish until 10:00 am and then look at bikinis the rest of the day?  What could be better than that?

I've got a dock that the owner must think it's the best fishing hole in the lake because I'll sit there all day in the summer!

Nope, can't go all the way to Berry, not in a boat not unless you get out and pull the boat over the shoals., then it would have to be a very small one.  Big fish may win this tournament, cause it may be the only fish caught. ;D  Why don't we say just bring in 5 fish for this tournament (Any size).  Since it's just a 6 hour tournament, let's just make it a night tournament (6-12)  :sleepy The city don't care either way.  And the winner is :fish Just kidding, might be the biggest weights ever. :huh

This is not a 6 hour tournament. It can only be shortened up 2 hours and that is only up to the tournament host so it might be a long, hot tournament. I sure hope not but it might. :pray

I don't mind you guys having a little fun but try not to set off any firestorms please.  Work has stretched my asbestos underwear a bit thin lately.  Remember that the schedule is set by consensus of all members present at the November meeting and that I work hard to let everyone have a say in the schedule.

Shannon is correct on the tournament times (from the bylaws) -  The Tournament Host may shorten a tournament by up to 1 hour (i.e. end at 2:00 pm) to accommodate other tournaments or extreme hot or cold weather conditions, except for the months of July and August when the tournament may be shortened by up to 2 hours.

Ferrell's suggest of a "no size limit" tournament is also a possibility (from the bylaws) - The Host determines the minimum size limit that will be accepted at his particular tournament. Size limits must be consistent with size and slot limit regulations of the tournament site.

As far as night tournament - this has been discussed many time and this turns out the be one of the most contentious issues raised within the club.  As far as this July goes - the schedule is set and only changes afforded under the bylaws will be considered.  That said, I am hoping that Rob and Adam will propose a "fun" night tournament again this year with enough time that the secretary can get the necessary permits.

By the way, Dewayne and Jessie are the hosts for this tournament, so take it easy on our new VP when it comes to lobbying  ;D

aaah man up will ya!   Keep the 12" min.!  Our Avg. wt. for July is about 8-3 regardless as to where we have been anyway. Surely you all can come up with that much weight for Lake Tuscalooser in July! (stirring the pot!)  ;D

There has been several times I wanted to do away with the min. length at a tournament I hosted.  Just never have implemented it for one reason or another.
