Lake Tuscaloosa 2/16
« on: February 19, 2008, 09:41:37 AM »
There were boats everywhere this past Saturday.  Anyone know which tournaments were held and more particular, how the field did?  I'm sure someone caught fish, but I was wondering if most folks came up big or posted zero's.

Cheers,

It was Fayette Bass Club, and West Alabama from what I hear.

I heard the winning weight for one of them was pretty impressive.   I will find out shortly.

I sent Dana (the President of Fayette Bass Club) an email.  I will let you know when she responds.

That is amazing!  Was it an old fashion butt whipping or was it a competitive tournament?

She didnt say, but last year in Feb. it took 19lbs to win for them.

http://www.fayette.net/fbc/index.htm  is their website.

That appears to be a 10 fish stringer. Still that is impressive........

I emailed her to ask, but haven't gotten a response yet.   Looking at the weights of their last year tournaments, I would guess a 10 fish limit.

It looks like they keep fish separated for scoring (5) each person in the boat from what I can tell.

That is what I saw. It showed individual big stringer. So apparently boat total wins the tournament and individual weight goes to angler of the year.

So that is not too far off our winning teams per fish average, but putting 10 2 lbs'ers in a boat under conditions were just finding fish is tough is impressive.
