Lake Tuscaloosa tournament 2008
« on: December 10, 2007, 05:55:57 PM »
I would like to throw out a caution flag for Lake Tuscaloosa come tournament time in Feb. The water level is lower than ever before to the best of my knowledge and may not get any better for awhile. Some of the shallow areas are now very thin and probably not real safe to run in, even just off the main channel in some places. I would stick to the middle of the lakes channel instead of cutting corners just to be safe about things. Also, ease, if not idle, back into the shallows if that's where you wind up going. Take extra precautions around all of the buoy markers that you know have shallow bottoms around them. There are a few shallow underwater ledges, humps and boulders that may be much shallower now as well. So, when T time comes be thoughtful of what you're doing.

Looking foward to it myself!

Paul

Good advice Buzz. I hope you guys get a break soon.
I think officially we have had at least a trace of rain every day this month but one.

With the water down I have found some humps right out in the middle of the lake that I didnt know was there.
