My son is fishing a Federation Nation Junior Trail tournament on Saturday. Of course I have to take him out in the boat and just watch him fish all day. We'll have plenty of cold water and such with us ;)

Thanks Jack. He needs a few keepers to get his ranking up if he wants to make it to their Championship in September. Or he can catch enough to qualify.

At a guess, right at 5:30 a.m. That's about what time I could see enough to start heading where I was going(I had already started idling along til it was light enough to run.)

Cody and I went this morning and only caught one.

P.S.- There are a few logs floating out in the river so be kind of careful (wads of float'n grass too)

Our take-off time will be about 05:30 too. They will put a vote up to the kids in the tournament if they want to fish the full eight hours or cut it short due to the heat. I kind of hope they cut it short because I have to rush home and get ready for a long night. My NWTF chapter is having our annual Banquet and Auction which starts at 18:00. I am one of the founding committee members and have not missed one in the eight or nine years since we started. I reckon I will be one tired pup the next day in Church. :sleepy
