Car shopping
« on: October 02, 2011, 07:21:49 AM »
I've been trying to find a good clean car for the wife. I only had limited funds which made it a bit dicey to say the least. Well long story short, I located a possible car in KC and after a rather cursory inspection and short drive  I bought the car. It was all good until the wife dissappeared from the rear view. I had to turn around and go back to find her. Turns out I had to use a bungee cord to hold down the trunk lid until I got home.  So it goes with buying used cars. Rachel thought she wanted a small zip around SUV like a Hyundai Santa Fe. It's sort of funny because after driving a few of those I put her in a a couple of well maintained Lincoln Cartiers and that put a stop to the chin music. She really likes this car. Now if I can only fix the trunk lid.  >:(

That's good Get. I just bought a second hand car too. I bought a 1995 Honda Accord. It is very clean and only has 125,450 original miles. The carfax was good too.

Carfax was good on this one too.
After driving home last night from KC (70) miles I took care of the trunk issue this morning. Turns out it was operator failure. LOL. We drove over to Manhattan this evening for dinner with friends and no problems so I think this car will be OK. I did change the oil in it this morning also.
