Finally Out of a Slump
« on: June 25, 2011, 05:54:37 PM »
It took a couple of months but I finally caught a keeper bass during a tournament. I actually caught three. It helped me and my partner get third place and a check. One of my keepers came on a wacky-rig. First one on that.

It's ptobably been 10 years since i've wacky rigged. Of course, it was nothing more than a c-rig with a hi-floater worm hooked in the middle with the hook point tex-sposed. Have caught a few decent fish doing that!

btw, what did you catch the other 2 on?

I caught them on a Texas-rig white Zoom trick worm.

Good job Carter.  I got a tourney on the 10th and I'm going to the lake tonight to drop  off some homeade habitat. I hope it helps cause I suck on this lake and it's only 13 miles from me. I may have to try something white once in a while.

Bass don't eat what they don't see.

Good luck to you on your tournament Get. I have one the same day at Green River Lake.

I rarely throw a white bait but man, they have been hammerin' it. Also, most of the fish have been relating to wood; not just here at home but they were up in South Bend too.
