Is this fall ...
« on: September 05, 2011, 06:40:20 AM »
Yesterday morning the temp was in the mid 70s and a front came bustin' in.  It dropped to 65° in about an hour.  77° was as warm as it go.  Now this morning we still have a north wind and the outside temp is 51°.  This sure beats the 102° we had a couple of days ago.

I'm ready to hit the water.  Come on Wednesday. ;D ;D

When the water temps and weather starts dropping I start do real bad.....My goal was to hit 100 Bass this season....I think I'm gonna end up short yet again. :(

Do you guys start fishing deep when temps declining?

Grim they will be pulling shallow chasing the shad in the rivers for 2-3 months.  It is Jan and Feb for me and deep but I don't do that much any more.  It is more fun to chase specs and they are good to eat. ;)

Well, my fishing slows down a bit in the Fall/Winter due to hunting but I still like to get out when I can.

Grim go top water now. Buzzbaits, spooks, frogs, and poppers.
If you see them busting bait throw spoons or swim jigs and try to get under the bait.
Go early, stay late, you’ll get your hundred.
