Thanks Walmart!
« on: October 24, 2011, 03:27:39 PM »
At the tournament I fished on Saturday I broke one of my favorite rods. It is a Berkley Cherrywood spinning rod. Besides bass, there are musky in Green River Lake. I thought I had set the hook on one of them when my rod snapped in the middle and the first two or three inches from the tip. But I am embarrassed to say that it was on an eight inch bass.  :embarassed: So today I took the rod to Walmart where I purchased it. I did not remember when I bought it but it was sometime ago and of course I had no receipt. I told this to the clerk in Cutomer Service. She said she could replace the rod but I would not get a receipt because I did not have one with the broken rod. I was just glad to get it replaced. But if they had told me they could not replace it I would have bought it anyway. I like those rods. They have enough give in the spine to handle the bigger fish without them coming unbuttoned. So, I say thanks to Walmart for helping me out.

 8) carter, i have 2 of those myself. Also 2 pistol grip Cherrywood casting rods.  I use to sling-shot baits under docks pretty regular with them. We've also used them to crappie fish with over the years.   :2thumbs They were also bought from Walmart.

I don't much care for Wal-Mart but that was pretty darn nice of them to give a hassle free replacement on an older rod!!
