This is the house i grew up in ...
« on: December 11, 2011, 03:00:04 PM »
I was looking the other day at some of the progress going on around town since the April tornado. There is still alot of damage but some efforts have been made overall. I can't imagine how may years it will take to get to back to a not-so noticable viewpoint.  I had to go back across town the other day and went by my old neighborhood and most all of it had been knocked down and cleared but i was glad to see some houses had even been rebuilt. However, The lot where i lived was still clean as a whistle. I found this picture by happenchance. This is the house i grew up in. Of course, it no longer there.

my old house :

Wow! When those come roaring through no one is safe. Did it damage your current home?

No. Where we're at now, we had a tree go down that morning (an early tornado warning)and some more trees limb debris but that was pretty much it.

Well consider yourself fortunate. I've been around plenty of them here in Kansas but I've  been fortunate also.
