Three more boxes
« on: October 31, 2011, 07:39:49 PM »
I have finally packed everything down to the last 3 boxes. I'm going in to watch Monday night Football. When I get back it's going to be a short night. I had to get 2 27' trucks from U-Haul. It'll be interesting to see these guys make it all fit. I'm gonna head east tomorrow afternoon late and try to get east of KC so Wednesday won't be such a haul. Nashville is in my future and Totoland is in my rearview mirrow.

Half the battle is almost over. You have one long trip in U-Haul trucks!
Not sure what roads your taking but if you pass by Evansville Indiana honk twice. I’ll be working, but I’ll take time to wave. ;D

When you get your DL's renewed, I hear they require you to sing a line, like .....Goood 'oool rocky top!, rocky top ten-nuh-seeee! (eeeeeee!) ;D  I could be wrong though. ;D

Maybe you'll get a day in fishing before to long, Get! ....like this coming Saturday?  :2thumbs

Toot loud, i'll wave too!

I finally got most of the trappings delivered to Nashville Wednesday night. We unloaded Thursday in the rain.  :P  I managed to get Rachel moved out of her extended stay temporary lodging facility and put together the beds and the washer and dryer and skedaddled back out of there Sat in the early morn fog. Rachel also had to scoot over to Chatanooga to work for a couple days.
I'm back to sell the property in Kansas and take the boat to TN. I hope I don't have to sing the rocky top song any time soon  but it won't be long & I'll be ready.  ;D

It appears that things are coming together for you guys.  I hope you sell the KS property soon and get all settled in.

Oh I truly truly hope so. My spine is really trying to shut me down but I think I can hang on a few more days. I had to rent a storage unit for the first time in my life and I will tell you that that is going to be temporary. If it don't or won't go in the home it's gonna find another home. I'm putting June 1 as my target date to get the process completed. I'm kinda ffreaked because we just grabbed a lease in the burbs which is fine for now but I don't really have anywhere for my shop tools. It looks like I'm gonna steal one of the upstairs bedrooms for a place to build my jigs. I'm still learning so it is still interesting enough to want to continue it.
I think I'm only gonna volunteer to move one more time in my natural life.

I don't ever plan to move again except on a gurney.  We moved from a 5 bedroom house with a 5 acre yard in 2004 to the house my wife designed and had built.  It is less than 1/2 the size of the other one and we have a lot and 1/2 to care for.  That is all I want and I don't plan to leave it.

I have said it before but it bears repeating; It takes 2 ˝ gallons of gas to mow my yard

Uh, that’s 2 ˝ gallons Per Year!

Steve, it may be a few weeks before I can get down that way…..Like April! ;D
