I was in Academy Sports yesterday and bumped into an elderly gentleman who was quick to give his favorite tip for the day. I find this quite helpful and humorous, respectfully. His recommendation for a cricket cage: hehe! ...(1) five gallon bucket, (1) 3 to 4 inch wooden dowel. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 3/8" to 9/16" O.D. Next, bore a hole in the bottom of the bucket just short of the O.D. of the dowel. Force dowel through hole til it's flush with the bottom and sticking up in the middle of the bucket(you can modify this part of the process the way you want and can attach the dowel somehow. But forcing it through the hole will work fine.). Once you get that done fill the bucket with the quantity if crickets of your choosing. Proceed to fish'n hole. Bait up...every time you need a cricket...there'll be one sit'n on top of the dowel !
