.... Unfortunatly it was a catfish!!!

Still pulled like heck though, so that was fun.

JackJ  you know you can be to honest , just say a 6 lber. would get us all excited, but no you have to throw in the word catfish, and spoil the excitment for bass fisherman.

Did you keep him and cook him for supper.
I hope you did I like catfish but not no other fish., oh maybe crappie.

man thats not good. I caught a 12lb catfish on a crappie rig last year when i was bankfishing. The last 15-20 ft before the bank was extremely shallow and he was dragging his belly in the sand and then the crappie rig snapped. So i went in after it right away cuz it was stuck in the sand, but my friend actually beat me to it so i did get him. Man that was fun. One time a friend snapped off what he had hoped was a nice walleye in the river fishing from the bank. It was snagged on a rock so he decided to wade/swim out to it. He found his line and was like hey i found the line and then the fish started wrapping around him and rubbed up against his leg and scared the trash fish out of him cuz he thought it was a snake... ended up being a catfish. i still laugh about it all the time. man if i only had a camera lol

Finally get over here and see a topic of Caught a 6 lber on Joe's shakit and it's a catfish. LOL   That stinks about the salmonella
